This is a summary of a presentation by Keith Paxton of Rover in Longbridge, Birmingham, U.K. The presentation was given at a seminar entitled “Run Tomorrow’s Factory, Today” in London. Keith Paxton is simulation coordinator for the powertrain group at Rover Longbridge. His background is in industrial and process engineering, and he has been using WITNESS for two years. His job is to provide advice and support service to the manufacturing engineers, using simulation as one of the tools at his disposal. Simulation is used widely within Rover Group, on all manufacturing sites and on a range of projects, both small and large. This presentation focuses on three small but important projects carried out by Paxton that demonstrate the role WITNESS can play in an engineering environment.
